or borrow books that others have listed. No money, no subscriptions, just books.

How it works
Add books from your shelf with title, author, and language. They appear in the catalog for others to browse.
Another user finds your book and sends you a borrow request with an optional message explaining why they want it.
You decide who borrows your book. Approve and the borrower gets notified with your contact email to arrange pickup.
When the book comes back, you mark it as returned and it's available again. Keep the cycle going.
Chytajka is a platform for connecting people who have books with people who want to read them — nothing more. We are not responsible for the physical transfer of books, their condition during or after the lending period, or any arrangements made between borrowers and lenders. All exchanges happen directly between members, and both parties take on that responsibility themselves.
Please treat borrowed books with care, as if they were your own. Our goal is a community built on trust, kindness, and a shared love of reading. Let's keep it that way.
Due to the full-scale war against Ukraine waged by russia, we do not support or list books in the russian language on this platform. This is a deliberate choice, and we stand by it.
